Two-Player Split-Screen Setup

Holiday Gift Grab: Pixel Rivalry is built for two players sharing one screen. One uses standard keyboard keys, the other uses arrow keys. Each controls a distinct character with its own visual flair, so tracking your avatar during the scramble stays easy. The split-screen layout keeps both players visible at all times, which matters when presents fall quickly and positions shift second by second.

Collecting Presents and Avoiding Penalties

Wrapped gifts tumble from above throughout each match. Your goal is simple: grab more than your opponent before time expires. Not every package helps, though. Some carry a temporary penalty that shrinks your character, making it harder to catch later items. You decide whether to dodge those risky packages or gamble on a quick grab. That choice, repeated under time pressure, shapes each round.

Timing, Positioning, and Reading Your Rival

Movement is fast and responsive. You dash left or right to line up under falling items, and a dedicated action button lets you nudge objects or interact with the environment. Success comes from timing and positioning rather than complex inputs. Watching your opponent's patterns and guessing their next move becomes part of the challenge, especially when a shrinking penalty changes what they can reach.

Short Rounds and Pixel Holiday Style

Matches last a brief period, so every second counts and rematches come quickly. The pixel art uses bright reds, greens, and golds to set a festive mood, with subtle background decorations that reinforce the holiday theme without distracting from the action. Characters stay clearly distinguishable even when the screen fills with falling objects, keeping the competition readable during intense moments.
